KICK OFF DAY is SATURDAY MAY 16TH We will have a FREE vessel safety check venue at Morningstar Marina located off the Causeway going to St Simons Island. We will set up in the pavilian and can give your boat a check-up from 9AM to 2PM. Just come by and we will go to your slip at the marina or you may bring your boat up to an availabe space on the dry storage or gas dock. Please hail the marina for directions. The Coast Guard have plans to bring their state of the art 45ft response boat to demo.
ALSO at 2:30PM, we will be holding a flare shoot demonstration on the DNR/Coast Guard dock located at 2 Conservation Way, Brinswick, GA. Bring your old arial or handheld  flares and/or smoke. We will have a short but very important Coast Guard orientation before the demo. Also you may trailer your boat to the DNR parking lot for a FREE vessel safety check at the same time

SUNDAY MAY 17 TH:1AM-4PM The Coast Guard will have their 45 ft response boat on display at the St Simons Island Pier and the CG Auxiliary will be there with goodies for the kids as well as  great information for grownups too! Did you know that a dedicated crew from CGAux Flotilla 10-10 have maintained the light in the SSI lighthouse for 21 years?

MONDAY MAY 18TH: We will have a FREE vessel safety check venue at Brunswick Landing Marina, located on the northern waterfront in Brunswick, GA.  We can give your boat a check-up at your slip from 1PM to 4PM. If you would like to come by water, hail the dock for a temporary park or bring it on a trailer. There’s lots of room on the marina grounds for boats on trailers.

TUESDAY MAY 19TH: Contact us for a free vessel safety check.

WEDNESDAY MAY 20 TH: We will give FREE vessel safety checks for you at four Golden Isles locations. Jekyll Island Marina 10am-12noon, Jekyll boat ramp, Lanier Bridge boat ramp in Brunswick & Blue N Hall Marina & boat ramp in Darien 1pm-3pm.

THURSDAY MAY 21 ST: We will have a FREE vessel safety check venue at the City dock (or other TBD location) in Darien 1PM to 5PM.

THE GRAND FINALE is FRIDAY MAY 22 ND: We will have FREE vessel safety checks at Hickory Bluff Club & Marina located at 307 Hickory Bluff Dr Waverly, GA. You may swing your boat in for a complementary check-up by land or sea (Little Satilla River) from 2PM to 5PM.
ALSO, We will  have another USCGAux crew back at Morningstar Marinas pavilian for more vessel safety checks from 3PM to 6PM in case you missed it on the previous Saturday.

FOR MOST VENUES THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, WE HAVE SCHEDULED AN “ON THE WATER” DISPLAY OF THE NEW 45 FT STATE OF THE ART RESPONSE BOAT OUT OF COAST GUARD STATION BRUNSWICK.
NOTE: If there is a SAR emergency the boat may not be available.

Brunswick Blessing of the Fleet

We will be participating in the annual Blessing activies on May 9th & 10th under the Sidney Lanier Bridge and on the water.Come visit us at the education tent.

Also, May 9th from 9AM-1PM we will be at Brunswick Landing Marina for a co-op with Golden Isles Sailing Club to do vessel inspections.

    Feel free to ask questions, take home informative materials, sign up for one of our Safe Boating classes, get a Free Vessel Safety Check (VSC) for your boat, view the Coast Guard Rescue vessel & see first hand how your Coast Guard team protects you, your friends,  your family, endangered marine life & in fact...our entire coastal community 24-7!
     We invite the public to look for us at many coastal tent events around the Golden Isles..
    BE SAFE...Wear your life jacket at all times while having fun out on our coastal waters.
